Space between the rows of slot machines was non-existant you cannot walk through the aisles. The casino itself was very overcrowded, and people would be trampled if there was ever an emergency. The red light - green light system of showing available spaces in areas did not appear to be working, and there was no orderly system or clear direction within the garage. Drove around for a long time in the garage until we found parking. I finally had the opportunity to go this past weekend. I had been anticipating a visit here long before ground was broken to build it. Whether or not you're a gambler, MGM National Harbor is a neat experience for an afternoon or evening. It's an especially romantic place to experience at sunset (see pictures!). The outdoor terrace area offers some great views of both National Harbor and Old Town Alexandria along with some iconic elements of the Washington, DC skyline. The complex also includes a hotel and entertainment space. Restaurants and shopping ring the outer area of the casino in an indoor mall-like setting and are accessible to everyone, regardless of age. Only those 21 and older may enter the casino area itself. The casino is located at the center of the complex and offers a mix of table games and lots, and lots of slots.

There's plenty of free, covered parking, although traffic into and out of the complex can become congested at peak times (especially around dinner time).

I'm not much of a gambler myself, but I was very excited to visit the MGM National Harbor to experience its sheer size and vastness and dine at one of the on-site restaurants.
